Computer Configurations*

• Mid-range Intel Pentium 4 processor (3.2 GHz)

• 1GB RAM

• 60GB or larger hard drive

• Video card with 32MB video memory

• 17" monitor or larger

• decent speaker system

• firewire cable or card (sometimes these are built-in)

• 40x10x40x CD recordable/re-writeable drive or 4X DVD recordable drive for archival storage and digital image distribution/submission

• video-editing software

* these specifications are adequate for a mid-range computer, for the person who is serious about their image editing, but still treats it as a hobby rather than a source of revenue.

Software

The Cougar Ridge Lab uses, Sony Vegas Movie Studio + DVD Architect -regular edition, not the Platinum version, but there are other other publishers of video editing software.
