            Video Editing

Video Editing started in 2004 and continues, with generous donations from our PTSA. The donations allowed us to purchase two high-performance video-editing computers; two digital video cameras and tripods; video-editing software; and both regular and wireless microphones.

Video Editing, previously offered as an after school program, will now be taught to all 4th and 5th grade students, as one unit of their weekly computer class with Ms. Muller.

Students learn:

  • interview writing and techniques

  • basic video-editing skills

Once students learn the basics, individual classrooms, will be assigned a news story to produce for the Bobcat News, a student produced news show, or actual video production as needed around the school.

In addition to the Bobcat News, other projects produced in the past:

  • filming and DVD production of Honors' Chorus performances

  • background videos for Honors' Chorus and Cultural Fair

  • a project Darfur, fundraising video

  • 5th grade graduation events

  • various classroom special events or performances
